As the full moon is upon us again I figured it would be nice to share some found wisdom about the moon.  It doesn't matter whether it is a full moon, new moon, waxing moon or waning moon, all phases of the moon are beautiful! I love the moon, it is beautiful and a symbol of the goddess and gives us all strength! One can not miss the huge impact that it has on us everyday. Enjoy!

Wolf moon – January

The wolf moon occurs in the deep winter symbolizing a time of darkness and hunger. It is a good time for practicing psychic abilities and lucid dreaming. It is also a good time for concentrating on personal goals. This moon is also known as snow moon or quiet moon.
Herbs that correspond to this moon are Marjaram and Holy Thistle.
Crystals are Onyx, Garnet and Jet.
Animals are the fox and the Coyote.
Deities include Freya and Inanna.

Storm Moon - February
Also known as ice moon is a time for purification, growth and healing.
Herbs are Balm of Gilead, Hyssop, Myrrh,and Sage
Crystals are Amethyst and Jasper
Animals are the otter and the eagle
Deities include Diana and Brigit

Chaste Moon - March
A time for new beginnings and seeing the truth
Herbs are Yellow Dock and High John Root
Crystals are Bloodstone and Aquamarine
Animals are boar and Hedgehog
Deities are Minerva, The Morrigan, and Athene

Seed Moon – April
The April moon sees a time for change, boosting self confidence and building on opportunity. It is also a good time for working on temper flare-ups
Herbs are Basil, Dragon's blood, and Geranium
Crystals are Ruby and Garnet
Animals are the bear and the wolf
Deities include Kali, Ceres and Venus

Hare Moon - May
This is a good time for intuition and strengthening you connection with the elementals
Herbs are mint, thyme rose ans yarrow
Crystals are Malachite, Amber and Carnelian
Animals are cats big and small
Deities include Maia, Artemis, Pan and the horned God

Dyad Moon – June
Dyad is an archaic word meaning pair. It is a good time for decision making and prevention. It is also a time to reward your personal strengths
Herbs are vervain, parsley and skullcap
Crystals are agate and topaz
Animals are the monkey, toad, frog and butterfly
Deities include Cerridwen and Isis

Mead Moon -July
Time for preparation, divination and working towards spiritual goals
herbs are Lemon Balm honeysuckle and agrimony
Crystals are moonstone pearl and white agate
Animals are turtle dolphin and whale
deities include Khepera, Athene and Cerridwen

Wort Moon – August
Is a time to appreciate vitality and health
Herbs are Camomile, bay and fennel
Crystals are jasper and carnelian
Animals are lion dragon
deities include Hathor, and Hecate,

Barley Moon – September
Is a time to clean away spiritual emotional and physical debris
Herbs are rye, wheat, and copal
Crystal is citrine
Animals are the snake and the jackel
Deities include Ceres, Isis, Thoth, and Freya

Blood Moon – October
Is a time to practice inner peace
Herbs include thyme catnip burdock
Crystals are opal, tourmaline beryl and turquoise
Animals are the stag, the ram and the scorpion (sometimes elephant)

Snow Moon – November
A time for transformation and communication
Herbs are betony and borage
Crystals are topaz and lapis lazuli
Animals are the scorpion and the crocodile
Deities include Kali, Hecate and Osiris

Oak Moon – December
Is a time of rebirth and a time for reach out to those in need
Herbs are holly, english ivy, fir, and mistletoe
Crystals are peridot, jacinth, and serpentine
Animals are the mouse, deer, and the horse
Deities include Hathor, Hecate, Athene, Minerva and Osiris

Blue Moon – Occurs when two full moons appear in one month
Its a time of prophecy and communicating with the dead

It's Back!!

YAY!!! Its back on!!

Now to explain the happiness, 1. I'm eating coco mini wheats, and 2 Revolution is back on today!!

I know it may not be the absolute best show on tv but it is pretty dam good! And it came back on!  Now so long as it stays on!!

Life has not been quite as exciting as this show however.  My car keeps breaking down and I think I might know whats wrong with it now! I was informed by a BCAA mechanic that it might be the printed disk in my dash! For those of you uneducated to either cars or technology it looks like this --->  and makes my electronics work! :P This equates to the fact that when my car gives me troubles I now get to beat it!! :D The could end badly for my car!

Also because I am doing all this fun image searching for here, I hate the new google set up!! so yucky and time consuming!

Thursday may be hump day!

So after a long week of school and a potential job for the summer we have hit Thursday! ugh! We had a crazy day yesterday on the first day of spring going from heavy rain, sunshine, more rain, lightening and thunder and hail!! It was intense! Now today it is beautiful and sun shiney!! but I have a horrible headache!!  :( The only problem with this is I have to write a paper.  On the plus side I just got a job and now will be able to return to school in the fall!!

Happy Ostara let us celebrate with Candles!

We have found the rebirth of our plants and the renewal of our planet once again! I love the symmetry between candles and rebirth and renewal! you light them and snuff them out and then can melt them down and combine them to make a new one!

I Love candles! If I could spend furiously I would blow too much on candles!! I love the look of them and the way they make you feel!! Plus when you need to set a mood or feel special or make a statement nothing does it better than candles! I wish I had boxes full but alas I do not have money to just spend on whatever so I can only fantasize about days when I can!

I'm Sorry

Hello Lovelies!

First I would like to apologize for not being on here for the last little while! Life and school got way too heavy and blogger started acting up and wouldn't let me on! :( So what happened you may ask?! Well back in August 2012 I lost one of the most important people in my life and was deeply affected! My whole family was crushed and it took a while to get over.  Truthfully I'm still not over it! But I had to move past that and go to school, where 3 weeks in I found out the school cancelled my student loan and I had to move off campus! I will be forever blessed that my aunt and uncle took me in the wonderful people I go to school with chipped in and raised money for the first emergency payment I had to make!! I could not have done it without them! <3 Then in November I had tried to get on here to let you all know what had happened and blogger wouldn't let me on! :S Very stressful but alas I continued on and now am back!! With Spring here, somewhat, and Ostara just around the corner what better of a time to come back! Re-birth and renewal my friends!

So here are some things I am thinking about for Ostara:

- Maybe I will get some candles and light them for the goddess.

- make a pledge to return to studying Wicca and finding my path there.

- Bake something! It has been too long since I made something from scratch and this is the perfect time!






And the next month before school is out:

- well this one is simple! Homework, homework, paper, and exams! Ugh I hate school but Love nursing!



And for the summer:
- well I was hoping to get some animals but then upon further reflection we need to build a new barn and pens! So that means I need to do a LOT of work and spend a bunch of money before I can get any! :(

- LOSE WEIGHT!! this will happen this summer! My friend and I are even going to do kickboxing! :D

- Get a job! Now let us all praise I get a job this summer or school might be cancelled next year!

- Garden! I can't wait to get into my gardens this year and continue on the great tradition left to me by my Nanny! :) Lets hope its a good year for planting!


Wow just so busy!! But don't you worry I will ensure to get some post all qued up so that there wont be such a long break again!! Love you all so much and have a fabulous Saturday!
