so with my new job starting a the beginning of next week and the idea that I will have large stable pay checks I am getting excited about things to buy!!  I mean its not like I don't have a huge list of things I want but this is one thing in particular I kick myself for not buying every time they go on sale and I have the money!!

I know some people who swear by their cell phones or point and shoots but I have used both and although you can get the odd amazing photo most kinda suck! So that leaves me with a DSLR or higher.  Which are not so cheap! Now I do not have the knowledge or experience to try and tell you which cameras are better and why.  Besides everyone and their cousin has an opinion! but I will show you the ones I ma looking at and some sites for why I chose them.


First is the Canon Rebel T3i

I have been able to "play" with these in stores and they feel alright in hand but are a little small for my big man hands! :P

Nikon D800

This is a recommendation from Funky Junk and is her current camera. I have not seen this in stores but it looks quite large and mainly geared for use on a tripod.

Dream House ~ House plan

So this will defiantly meed to be in multiple posts!  Way to many ideas and wish list items! So let us start with the floor plan, where else would you start right.  Now I have many house plans that I have fallen in LOVE with!! So I will show you the top 4 and leave it at that! Because I have over 30 plans that I like!

First off we have the practical magic house!  I posted on the house here.  Beautiful house with a great layout!









Okay so I know the photos are blurry but click on the photos and it will take you to the Amas Veritas site and you can check them out there!  I have re-drawn the plans to make the more "livable" because it was designed as a movie set! So it lacks things like bathrooms, laundry room and a good deal of function!


The second house I would like to show you is called Chatham house! I love this one, its like an old school carriage house with a cape cod feel that is made for a large family with killer money! I Love the game room and the separate little office space that would make a killer craft room! But it is majorly huge, and I think I might feel a little lonely there!  But I do love all the stairs!

I don't really like the look of the rear! Makes it look like an entirely different house!

Now these next two are amazing on their own but I would love them combined!

First (well thirdly) the Cordelia! I love the exterior and am considering this my next home!! It is really amazing but I would need a fabulous location to build this house with few neighbors!!

Love the giant pantry you can use each of the "nooks" to store different things! The first one for food, second appliances, and third for tablescapes and dish stuff! The kitchen needs a double island and the master suite needs to be redesigned!

I think I would place the billiards room in the recreation are and turn the "billiards" room into a dance studio! ;D

This entire section I think would be used for holiday storage and a craft room! Can you imagine the possibilities!!

Lastly is the Hendrick house plan! This one is nice but it seems small and I am not a huge fan of the rancher style! Although I do love the beam work and the master! I LOVE the master and want it in the Cordelia pictured above!!

I love the master and 3 season porch! A must for every house!!  The weird second master is strange I think so I would turn that into a dance studio and rearrange the master bath!

I love the master bath from this angle! and those amazing rafters!! Swoon!!

I know all you can hear is custom and cha-ching! I know don't judge me!!

You should see the things I want to decorate with! cha-ching!!   So there you go my top 4 house plans!

Questions about love

Hello my Loveies sorry for being a little absent but I make an awesome lazy hermit and I tend to like to rock that part of me!

First a quick update!  My daddy just got home last night and I couldn't be happier that he is home!! My potato plants are huge and will probably be pulled up sometime this week so that we can eat them! I only have 4 shifts left of work and I have to go back to school next month!! Dear goddess the summer went by fast!!  I can't wait to be done with school! Tired of all the Christian mumbo jumbo and nonsense they try and feed me!! Yuck!

Second the post about love! Now I claim to be no expert! Hell I don't even have a boyfriend! nope not even a possibility!! I know!! And as I serf the black hole that is the internet I come across all this garbage about how to the perfect girlfriend or how to get a man to fall in love with you and all I can think of is how in the hell did we get here?? I mean why on earth must I change who I am and how I act to be considered a "catch"! Not saying that anything these people say are true or need to be done, but it seems to be a large consensus that we as people are not good enough how we are!! And that we should change so that we can look like the models in ads and adjust out personalities so we act like Princess Kate or Grace!

I'm sorry but I'm not a size 2! Hell I'm not even a size 10! I swear, drink, tell lude jokes and think they are funny! I perpetuate the gender roles when it suits me and scream women's lib when it suits me as well!! I am completely insecure about myself, I like to stay home and get dirty, watch movies and fight like a guy.  I hate dresses and dates and the idea that I should count every moment I with or away from those I love! Hey I forget how old I am sometimes! I'm not perfect but who the hell is?! Everyone is flawed and those who say they are not are lying!!

There is no perfect woman and no perfect men(don't fall for the same ploy)!  All you can hope to find is someone imperfect who fits perfectly into your life!! I don't think I should have to change most of the things that make me me just so that someone MAY like me!! If you like me that's great if not well I probably don't like you either! If someone really likes me and I like them I would change some of my ways but not all, and definitely not the things that make me up!!  Don't let anyone tell you you are not perfect the way you are! We need to end this vicious cycle of telling each other were not worthy!!

You are freaking special and I love you the way you are!!

Something old, something new. . . .

No this is not a wedding post! Although that has also been on my mind thanks to the fact one of my beautiful squishy friends will be getting engaged soon!! but I digress,

What I'm talking about is tatting! That's right bring on the questions, not really!  But of course when looking up wedding traditions and came across several with one being Irish lace (being Irish of course) on your wedding dress!  So of course, what is Irish lace? Well I can't describe it but I can show you!!

       

It is crocheted with ridiculously small needles and it has a cool 3-d effect! I has however become an almost unknown skill as it was created and primarily used during the potato famine in Ireland in the 1800's and has lost much favor since! But there are some special ladies around the world who are trying to keep it alive!

The other cool thing I found was tatting!! Less skill needed and three ways to do it!!
     
  



Its the cool loopy looking lace that is one of my personal favorites! I want to try and do the needle tatting because it looks "easier" but also because the only item needed is the needle!

Finally there is traditional lace making! But this looks so intense! Although it would be cool to make some of your own!!
